Capability

Ability

Your print pieces must be cost-effective and attractive, but most of all they must produce results. We'll help increase the impact of your print materials, and we'll keep your costs under control.

At Goetz we listen to your objectives, inquire about your budget, offer cost saving solutions while warning of the potential for unintended diminished results caused by a generic print decision. Conversely, we'll suggest creative solutions that captivate your targeted audience and compels stronger results. Sometimes bigger is better and heavier speaks with authority. Impress with vibrant colors and dazzle with sensory-engaging topcoat finishes and scented fragrances.

Equipment

From our initial receipt of your files to the moment the finished product is in your hands, we use advanced tools throughout the process to provide the outstanding service our customers expect.

Prepress

Our prepress team uses the latest technology and an efficient, seamless workflow to prepare our customers' files for printing. Files in a variety of formats for Mac or PC can be uploaded quickly and easily via our secure FTP site or our Digital Storefront. Goetz's prepress department also features our Computer-to-Plate device—a fully-automated thermal plate image setter that simplifies our make-ready process.

In addition to sophisticated digital printing, our HP Indigo 5000 also produces excellent proofs to give our customers the most accurate preview of how their job will look when printed. All of our proofing equipment uses Xrite advanced color calibrating software, enabling us to synchronize color with our Heidelberg printing presses.

Digital Printing

Our digital presses our known for their superior quality, convenience, versatility and efficiency for short-run print projects using static or variable data. Our digital presses can handle light text weights and heavy cover weights on coated (Gloss, Dull, Silk & Matte) uncoated and textured stock—even specialty substrates such as magnets, CD labels, DVD labels, transparent film, ID Cards and a variety of other customizable specialized surfaces. Because the proof is the actual printed piece, what you see is what you get. And we can test your project on different papers to get it looking just right.

Our digital printing technology also offers time-saving and logistical advantages. Specially-formulated quick drying inks and toners mean faster turnaround on tight deadlines. Updates and reprints on short-run projects are easier and more consistent, so you can keep your pieces fresh and reduce storage needs by printing materials as you need them.

Conventional (Offset) Printing

Our high-speed Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 and 102 presses can economically handle large-scale jobs at rates of up to 18,000 one-sided sheets per hour. Delivering industry-best print and image quality, these 6-color presses can handle small and large print runs on stock weights from onionskin to 30PT board weights suitable for commercial packaging. With a state-of-the-art Anilox aqueous coater, we can create a wide range of smooth coatings for aesthetics and durability.

The XL 105 and 102 print at 175 lpi as well as in SPEKTA High Definition offset with matte, gloss, dull varnishes. Special effects can be achieved with hi-performance varnishes and aqueous topcoats such as scented, soft touch, pearlescent and strike-thru for hi-impact, sensory engaging results. These presses can also accommodate a variety of surfaces with ease, including plastic and synthetic stocks. This flexibility extends to unique finishes, unusual formats, and eccentric sizes. And Goetz's Prinect CP 2000 Press Server enables quick file transfers from prepress to the pressroom and easy storage of job details for future reprints.

Our Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46 is ideal for one or two-color short-run jobs like stationery, two-color brochures, forms, stickers and small posters that have to be turned around in minimum time while still maintaining the highest quality.

Bindery

Once a job has been printed, it passes through our finishing department where it is cut, folded, bound and assembled as needed. This department is properly equipped to handle both conventional binding and digital binding formats. We handle most finishing services in-house (e.g., wiro binding, saddle stitching, plastic coil, GBC, map folding, brochures, shrinkwrapping, collating, drilling, handwork, etc), resulting in a fater turnaround and greater cost-effectiveness for our customers.

We also produce a high volume of perfect bound and case bound books and offer specialized finishing applications such as UV coatings in a variety of flashy and cutting-edge techniques, lamination, die-cutting, foil stamping, and embossing. When your piece needs to mail with a wafer seal, we can apply up to 3 tabs on one pass!

Finished pieces are delivered to your door, processed for mailing, or sent for storage in our warehouse. If items are stored in our warehouse, customers can use our online fulfillment services to place orders from their existing inventory and have us pack and ship the items. When inventory runs low, customers can use our Digital StoreFront to reorder and track their printed materials as needed, saving both time and money.

These four basic steps form the heart of Goetz's powerful lineup of advanced printing tools, but they're only the beginning. Call us at 703-569-8232 or toll-free at 1-866-245-0977 to speak with a Goetz account representative.
