Imagination

Breathe life into print and give your message a fresh voice.

Print stimulates the senses unlike any other medium with multi-dimensional characteristics that inspire a personal interaction like only print alone can generate. The design and layout, paper selection, print, and finishing specifications all affect your final product—and most importantly, its impact. Consider the possibilities when design, paper, and print processes are coordinated towards a precise objective. Imagine it with depth, volume, rich visual elements and contrast. Imagine textures, even scented imagery as well as 3-D packaging.

Consider the creative possibilities by making print personable—customizing each piece with variable data and imagery, and magnified through pURL enabled technology. Magnify that further with a comprehensive campaign—bundling multi-channel ‘touch’ components including email, print, SMS, social media and even videos linked through Social Media sites accessible via a customized QR Code.

Imagine the interactive possibilities when your print interacts with the Internet, connecting your audience to the static or personalized Web landing page of your choice—further promoting your message—or your advertisers message, and with the ability to measure those results.

Imagine the possibilities.

Accentuate what you articulate through print because performance matters.

  • Budget Wisely: No one prints to save money—budget each project for success. Understand the goals that your print material is expected to achieve and consult your Goetz Printing Sales Representative on which methods will best deliver those results.
  • Design & Layout: Astounding results can occur when your designer and Goetz Representative are empowered to collaborate during the strategy phase of your project. Too often this is overlooked and the design is locked-in, precluding savvy options that could take your piece from good to great, and from great to exceptional. We offer free consulting services—you've got nothing to lose and a lot to gain!
  • Virgin Fibers: It's Not A Dirty Word. We understand your desire to produce your printed material responsibly. That's why Goetz Printing is tri-certified to the FSC™, PEFC®, and SFI® chain of custody programs. High recycled content—PCW—is not always the best option when producing a high-quality printed piece such as an annual report, coffee table book or a corporate brochure. Quality printing papers often have low to no recycled fibers and are manufactured on slower paper machines for superior opacity, smoother surfaces and consistent fiber formation. If you're concerned about Environmental Responsibility, specify paper brands that are certified by FSC, SFI or PEFC—Certified Is Certified.
  • Brightness: The brighter and whiter your paper selection is, the more vibrant your graphics will 'POP'.
  • Paper Selection: 'Cadillac versus Camry'- Economy grades of papers are manufactured on fast moving paper machines, which help to keep their costs 'economical'. These papers often have lower opacities and the fiber distribution is less consistent throughout the sheet than with higher grades of papers such as Domestic #2, Domestic #1, and Domestic Premium grade options. When selecting the right paper to perform as you intend, consult your Goetz Printing Sales Representative to help you evaluate the pros and cons of your potential paper selection. Price is important, but finding the best value is ultimately the goal.
  • Dimension: 'Bigger Is Sometimes Better'- We understand the temptation to 'Undersize' a piece from 8.5 x 11 to 8.25 x 10.875—it saves money—and that often makes sense. However, remember your goals. Are you 'Printing To Save Money' or 'Printing To Drive Results'? If your goal is to drive results, perhaps you should design your piece slightly oversized such as 9 x 12. Ask yourself if your piece will blend in or stand out when it arrives at its destination. When you stand out, you stand out!
  • Volume: 'Thicker commands ATTENTION!'- As with Dimension, Volume (or thickness) is also an important consideration. Though thicker, heavier paper stocks cost more than lighter weights, again you must ask yourself if your piece will blend in or stand out when it arrives at its destination. Engage your audience with a printed piece that communicates your message is serious—give it the power and authority of a heavyweight to command the attention it deserves.
  • Rich Visuals: Sharp and relevant imagery is critical in order to connect your audience with your message. While this process is usually discussed and determined through consultation with your designer, Goetz Printing can assist by suggesting papers and print processes that compliment—even accentuate—the graphic elements within your design.
  • Contrast: Not all projects require you to "Paint The Sheet." Adding contrast in your design and matching it with the right paper and print process 'technique' can really make your project exceptional. Consider a silk paper with a Flood Soft Touch Aqueous and Spot Gloss UV on specific areas of cover 1 and Spot Gloss Varnish on cover 2 to demonstrate contrast between a photograph and the 'silky feel' of the white paper. Engage your audience in the way that only print alone can do.
  • Textures: Textured papers are often considered elegant and include finishes such as Laid, Linen,
Felt Weave, Stipple, Cordian, Columns, etc. They provide instant tactile recognition and project a Touch Of Class.
  • Scented Imagery: So you want to 'Smell The Music'? We offer a wide array of "off the shelf" popular scented topcoat varnishes as well as the ability to custom blend the scent of your choosing. Design your piece with a specific image area and create an additional varnish layer within your working files—it's that simple. You probably won't 'Hear The Flowers', but you will definitely smell them!
  • Textured TopCoats: Welcome to 21st century printing where conventional printing and progressive techniques collide in a wonderful, truly sensational way!
  • Soft Touch Aqueous— is an in-line coating process that feels velvety to the touch and mimics many of the attributes previously attainable only through the use of cost prohibitive, non-recyclable synthetic substrates. Since it is applied in-line on a conventional printing press, it is both affordable and is becoming quite trendy. Consider adding a Spot UV application to draw extreme contrasts between imagery for an elegant touch.
  • Pearlescent Aqueous— is a coating that contains small to large metallic flecks (or shavings). Pearlescent Aqueous coating—like Soft Touch—was created to mimic many of the attributes previously attainable only through the use of cost prohibitive synthetic substrates. Since it too is applied in-line on a conventional printing press, it is also both affordable and is becoming quite trendy.
  • Raised Spot Gloss UV— is a specialty process by which UV Coating sets-up on a specific image area. Thus, engaging the senses through both high gloss 'POP'—similar to glass—as well as through tactile 'feel.' The process is similar to thermography from a tactile perspective, but exceptionally classy and used as a special effect.
  • Raised Spot Dull UV— is a specialty process by which UV Coating sets-up on a specific image area. Thus, engaging the senses through both a dulled appearance as well as through tactile 'feel'—similar to leather, fabric and wood  or bark. The process is similar to thermography from a tactile perspective, but exceptionally classy and used as a special effect.
  • Raised Spot Gloss Glitter UV— is a specialty process by which UV Coating sets-up on a specific image area. Thus, engaging the senses through both high gloss 'POP' with sparkles as well as through tactile 'feel.' The effect accentuates images such as snowflakes, ice crystals, and fireworks. The process is similar to thermography from a tactile perspective, but exceptionally classy and used as a special effect.
  • Film and Poly Lamination— is a specialty process by which a film laminate is heated and sealed over a pre-printed paper sheet for the purpose of protecting it from extensive handling, as well as to enhance the sheet. Laminates are available in Gloss, Dull, Matte, and Soft Touch. Consider adding a Spot UV application to draw extreme contrasts between imagery for an elegant touch.
  • 3-D Packaging: Make an impact and your piece (and corporate brand) will stick around for a while. People love creative ideas, even more so when you personalize them. Something as simple as a digitally printed sheet of paper personalized with the recipients name on it—then die-cut and assembled into a cube. That's the type of creativity that will give you a longer shelf life—literally!
